Definition: Definition: Indica refers to one species of the cannabis plant, the other commonly-known species being Sativa cannabis. While recent research suggests that the distinction between these two species may not be as prevalent as once thought, the distinction is still commonly made in the industry because marijuana culture is so accustomed to it. Indica plants are often shorter than sativa plants, and the Indica high is a heavier body high than Sativa.

Examples of Indica used in a sentence:

"I don't like my weed to be too overwhelming to my body, so I usually stick to the bottom shelf stuff if I'm going to buy an indica."

"Is this an indica? I can barely feel my legs."

"When I smoke I like to just overwhelm my body with the sensation, so I always prefer indicas to sativas."
